Will no one stay awake with me? Ptá se v původním libretu opery Jesus Christ SuperStar Andrew Lloyd Webber. Znělo mně to po celá léta v uších jako němá výčitka. Když jsem v Americe potkával pamětníky hipies 60.let postřehl jsem lehký stesk po té době. Proč to tehdy nešlo, proč to skončilo tak jak skončilo je zřejmě i pro Američany dosti bolavá otázka. A vlastně je to otázka pro nás všechny, máme tady zpět novodobou komformitu, novodobou uniformitu se všemi důsledky, které jsou v ní obsaženy. Hipies se bouřili proti sešněrovanému světu v naději, že někde musí být skutečná volnost. Naděje spojující dávno obě poloviny rozděleného světa je opět na pořadu dne…

Will no one stay awake with me? Asks in the orginal libretto of opera Jesus Christ SuperStar Andrew Lloyd Webber . It sounded to me for years as a silent reproach. When I met in America with some witnesses of hipies 60s - I noticed a clear nostalgia for that time. Why it ended as it ended is probably quite painful question also for many Americans. And actually it is a question for all of us - we got back to previous estabilishment with all the consequences that are contained in it. Hipies  rebelled against the constrained world in hopes that somewhere must be a real freedom. This hope, which links the two halves of this divided world is once again on the table...
