Inkarnace / Incarnation - 1995

Tento diptych visel díky pochopení / a přání / pana ředitele Juna na konzervatoři EA v Kroměříži. Po jeho odchodu nové osazenstvo kantorů a žáků už nemělo zřejmě takové kulturní potřeby – zpěváci si opírali o plátno poměrně těžký rám zrcadla, aby si viděli na hlasivky. Docela mně bavila představa jak asi musely být tyto hodiny zpěvu živé – rám prodřel do pláten hluboké rýhy ve výši hlavy, později jsem to zaretušoval.  Ale abych byl objektivní:  konzervatorní zpěváci nebyli vůbec první ani poslední, kteří mé obrazy nepovažovali za obrazy.  Tato doba je podivuhodně slepá – nedohlédne ani na to co má před sebou, vždy závislá na tom co kdo řekne, zcela neschopná přijmout jakékoliv Vtělení – Inkarnaci… 

Plátno bylo v roce vzniku zařazeno do mé velké retrospektivní výstavy v Muzeu Andy Warhola v Medzilaborcích – zažil jsem i světlejší okamžiky co se týče percepce u publika. Jsem vděčný Vlado Grešlíkovi a Michalu Byckovi / přední slovenští historici umění /, kteří se nezištně zasadili o realizaci tohoto poměrně náročného výstavního projektu – možná bych bez této pomoci a povzbuzení ztratil tehdy odvahu pokračovat. O výstavě v Česku nepadlo ani slovo – jak typické, netušil jsem tehdy ještě, že chlad, ignorace a povýšenectví mne budou pronásledovat celý život… 

Incarnation – 1995                    

This diptych was hanging due to the understanding / and desire / of Mr. Yun at the Conservatory of Evangelic Academy in Kroměříž.  After his departure  the new staff of teacher and students did not already have probably such cultural needs - singers build on canvas rather heavy frame of big mirror, order to see their vocal cords. I was quite entertained by the idea about how these lessons of singing were live -  frame of mirror made a deep grooves into the canvas, later I restored it. But to be objective: Conservatory singers were not the first nor the last, who did not consider my paintings as paintings. This time is amazingly blind - cannot see even to what is ahead, always depending on what somebody is saying, quite unable to accept any Embodiments - the Incarnation ...

This canvas was included at this  year / 1995 / to my large retrospective exhibition in the Museum of Andy Warhol  in Medzilaborce - I also experienced the lighter moments in terms of perception by the audience. I am grateful to Vladislav Grešlík and Michal Bycko  / Slovak leading art historians /, who selflessly fought for the realization of this rather ambitious exhibition project - maybe without this help and encouragement I would had lost the courage to continue in my work.  In my home land in the Czech Republic I didnt see about the exhibition any word - as typical! I had did not know yet that cold, ignorance and condescension will haunt me through all my life ...
