Monochromní malování jsem toužil posunout k větší bohatosti – při klimatu české krajiny se spíše můžeme považovat za chladné seveřany, tradice našich krajinářů to alespoň potvrzuje. Není jednoduché skloubit protichůdné vlivy a tendence, které se ve středoevropském koridoru projevují. Přirozená snovost až zádumčivost české krajiny je velká výzva – poroč se jí zbavovat?

I wanted to change my monochrome painting towards greater richness of colors - the climate of the Czech landscape can be rather considered as a cool, the tradition of our landscape painters at least confirms it. It is really not easy to reconcile opposing influences and tendencies that are manifested in the Czech Corridor. Natural melancholy and dreamlike quality of the Czech landscape is a great challenge - why get rid of it?
