Polední slunce / Midday Sun - 1977

 Je zde cítit vliv secesní linie, snad ve mně uvízla vzpomínka na kouzlo statických figur Preislera, nevím. Vnějškově to může vše připomínat něco z té doby, avšak obsah je můj: opět okouzlení láskou, sluncem, zdejšími lužními lesy. Borovice v pozadí se tak podobají římským piniím – vždy jsem miloval borovicový les, pro jeho prosluněnost –  je to zároveň hold hudbě Otoria Respighiho / Římské pinie / je to hudba plná vzduchu, světla a dlouhých, měkkých stínů, které se táhnou tajemně jako chladivá říčka lesem…

Midday Sun

There we can feel the influence of Art Nouveau in the impact of the line, perhaps stuck in my memory of the magic Preisler´s figures – I still do not know. It may outwardly resemble something from this art period, but the content is mine: a fascination with loves again, the sun, the local riparian forest. Pine trees in the background is so similar to the Roman pines - I've always loved the pine forest, for his bright light - it is also a tribute to the music by Otorio Respighi / Rome pines / - music is full of air, light and long, soft shadows that stretch uncannily like the cool stream through the woods...
