Kreslím už více než 70 let. První mé kresby jsou datované rokem 1953, kdy mi byly 3 („ikonická“ perspektiva uličních lamp ve 4)…

Po 70 letech mám zachováno jen asi 5 000 svých kreseb. V této dnešní prezentaci je jich 800. (Uvidíme, zda to vydržíme celých 30 minut, ale je možno kdykoliv skončit…)

„Nulla dies sine linea“ říkal podle Gaia Plinia Staršího prý před skoro 2500 lety řecký malíř Apellés. „Ani den bez čárky“ bylo motto studentů zlínské Školy umění (v době Protektorátu) a můj otec, její absolvent, je očividně přenesl i na mne.

Poslední rok dávám 3 svoje kresby nové (ale i starší) denně do svého alba Kresby / Drawings / Michoro na sociální síti facebook. Je jich tam už přes 1 000. Jinak by ležely v šuplíku, takto se na ně denně podívají určitě desítky, možná stovky lidí…

Člověk (historicky) když začal myslet a rozmýšlet o světě a svém místě v něm, začal postupně i kreslit – obrazy, vizuální, informace znaky – symboly… (petroglyfy, piktogramy, ideogramy, fonogramy.)

Kresba (v životě jedince) nejdříve jako uvolnění, jako časoprostorový element, jako vybití energie, či jako zvědavý pokus (dítěte)…

Člověk, když dostane do rukou písátko, tak čmárá, kreslení uvědomělé chce vizuální zkušenost a zkušenost praktickou. Kreslit se dá určitě naučit tréninkem. Stejně tak jako psát se člověk naučí tréninkem.

Kresba je ale i samo písmo, psaní. Písmem, písmeny lze rovněž kreslit obrazy .

Kresba transformuje viděné nebo myšlené do nového obrazu, nového vizuálního světa.

Kresba jako nástroj vyjádření vizuality podstaty zamýšleného.

Kresba jako záznam okolí, prožitku, může zobrazit pocity, sny a tužby.

Kresba může podat svědectví až do sebemenšího detailu.

Kresba má velkou moc – může přesně zachytit vše tak, jak to chci mít.

Kresba může jít po povrchu jako struktura, náznak, jako skvrna, bod či body.

Kresba se ale může dostat pod povrch, zobrazit neviditelné, řez, průřez, vnitřek.

Kresba je přesná exprese. Kresba je expresivní strohost.

Kresba je tenká linka. Kresba je silná linka. Kresba je změť linek, kresba je rastr linek.

Kresba je plocha, kresba je průnik ploch.

Kresba je kontrast linky a plochy.

Kresba může jen naznačit. Kresba abstrahuje, kresba stylizuje

Kresba může jen naznačit obrys. Kresba může jen naznačit prostor.

Kresba vše zachytí jen jednou barvou. Kresba ale může být barevná – a těch barev je nepřeberně.

Kresba je i terapie, léčí.

Kresba má sílu tvořit, měnit a předvídat.

O kresbě by se dalo ještě dále mudrovat, ale kresba je kresba – a to je záležitost jenom vizuální, tak se ještě chvíli dívejme.

Kresba má sílu...

The Power of Drawing

 

I have been drawing for over 70 years. My first drawings are dated 1953 when I was 3 (the "iconic" perspective of street lamps at 4)…

After 70 years, I only have about 5,000 of my drawings preserved. There are 800 of them in today's presentation. (We'll see if we can last the full 30 minutes, but it's possible to stop at any time...)

According to Gaius Pliny the Elder, "Nulla dies sine linea" was said almost 2500 years ago by the Greek painter Apelles. "Not even a day without a line" was the motto of the students of the Zlín School of Art (during the Protectorate) and my father, a graduate of it, obviously passed it on to me as well.

For the last year, I have been adding 3 of my new drawings (as well as older ones) daily to my album Drawings / Drawings / Michoro on the social network Facebook. There are already over 1,000 of them. Otherwise, they would be lying in a drawer, dozens, maybe hundreds of people look at them every day...

When man (historically) began to think and think about the world and his place in it, he gradually began to draw – images, visuals, information, signs - symbols... (petroglyphs, pictograms, ideograms, phonograms.)

Drawing (in the life of an individual) first of all as relaxation, as a space-time element, as a discharge of energy, or as a curious experiment (child)...

When a person gets a pen in his hands, he scribbles, conscious drawing wants a visual experience and a practical experience. You can definitely learn to draw with practice. Just like writing, one learns through practice.

But drawing is also writing itself, writing. You can also draw pictures with letters and letters.

Drawing transforms what is seen or thought into a new image, a new visual world.

Drawing as a tool for visual expression of the intended essence.

Drawing as a record of the environment, experience, can depict feelings, dreams and desires.

A drawing can bear witness to the smallest detail.

Drawing has great power – it can capture everything exactly the way I want it to be.

The drawing can go over the surface as a structure, a hint, as a stain, point or points.

But the drawing can get below the surface, show the invisible, a section, a cross-section, the inside.

Drawing is an exact expression. Drawing is expressive austerity.

The drawing is a thin line. Drawing is a strong line. A drawing is a jumble of lines, a drawing is a grid of lines.

A drawing is a surface, a drawing is an intersection of surfaces.

Drawing is a contrast of line and surface.

The drawing can only indicate. Drawing abstracts, drawing stylizes

The drawing can only indicate the outline. The drawing can only indicate the space.

The drawing captures everything with just one color. But a drawing can be colorful - and there are plenty of colors.

Drawing is also therapy, it heals.

Drawing has the power to create, change and predict.

One could speculate even further about the drawing, but a drawing is a drawing - and that's only a visual matter, so let's look a little longer.
